Hammel House Inn has a long and rich history as a tavern and inn. Our current guest will eat and sleep where some of our most famous guests have stayed and dined over the building’s 200-year history. These guests include Presidents Martin Van Buren, George W. Bush, Vice President Richard Johnson, Charles Dickens and J.D. Rockefeller. We are open for dining and lodging year-round and have the perfect location for all of Waynesville’s downtown events, including the world-famous Sauerkraut Festival. All rooms have antique furnishings, private bath, television, air conditioning, iron and toiletries. Our inn is located on the building’s second floor, with no elevator.  All rooms are non-smoking.
